This being a customer trip, someone had put a lot of thought into the plan for each day, and it was extremely well executed. I am both impressed and grateful for that. And yet, the urge in me to do a bit of a walk-about on my own is strong, so… rather than follow suit and do as we were told, me and Lena strayed next-door to the small fruit and vegetable shop, while our fellow travellers lined up for a group photo in front of the first micro-finance bank made possible through the donation packages of Better Globe.
The bananas were yummy for sure, but even better were those big great brownblack things to the right of the picture.
Can you guess what they were?

Avocado!
Never in my life have I seen avocado this big!
Advent Calendar for 2019: sharing pictures and stories/reflections from my trip to Kenya in June. I went to visit “my trees” and get a hands-on experience of the social entrepreneurship of the Kenyan forestry company that I buy trees through.
Full disclosure: I am proud to say I am both a customer and an ambassador for the company. If you are curious to find out more, let me know and I’ll gladly get in touch with you! Here’s my sponsored link: https://betterglobe.com/27216
MEN WOOOOOW alltså!
